June 17th (coincidently my 25th birthday) is the first edition of a new annual cinema and literature festival. People of Utrecht send in films and writings about Utrecht. I made a clip for promotion of the festival and it can now be found in my portfolio!

The website I made for musical actor Rob Pelzer went live last week. It features his musicals, voicework and other activities in words and images. The site is a clean visualisation of a hierarchical structure, in this case a resume. Content is added dynamically to the Flash interface.

Visual Foreign Correspondents

Visual Foreign Correspondents is a monthly series of audio-visual artworks for a number of screen based platforms, urban screens and internet. Harm van de Ven and I designed a website that shows the artworks in context of the current news. In cooperation with De Ruimte designers. The VFC website uses live news feeds from various sources (Volkskrant, CNN, Al Jazeera) and throws it all into one big pile of noise - headers and articles are displayed in the colours red, green, blue (the colours of digital media), cyan, magenta, yellow and black (print media). The content of the site, the artworks, emerge through the stacked layers of current events.

De Megaphone

Media collective Zesbaans made an interactive piece that manipulates SMS text messages to figurative artworks. It is shown on Dropstuff's 15x4m LED screen, travelling through The Netherlands. May 2008: Varkensmarkt, Amersfoort.

De Nieuwe Salon

For a showcase of De Megaphone I built a maquette as an installation. The 15x4 meters LED-screen of Dropstuff is replace by a 1.40x0.40 m projection. Can be seen at expo De Nieuwe Salon in Utrecht, June 2008.
